DaytimerType DesignDaytimer is an reverse contrast extended typeface. Inspired by Richard Serra's sculptures and remixed with the Asian daytime club scene that took place during the 90's in London, UK.

The Bhangra music that is associated with the daytime club scene is described as ‘hard humanist’, artists often took traditional Bhangra beats and remixed them to appeal to younger second generation South Asians. This inspires the key feature of the typeface which is the reverse contrast, that remixes traditional calligraphic strokes. The extended grotesk style of the typeface with large organic counter spaces and descenders echo the fluidity of Richard Serra's sculptures.
